We are seeking a mid-level Finance Associate Attorney to join our team. This associate will support both lender- and borrower-side transactions in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. The ideal candidate will have strong experience structuring, negotiating, and documenting a variety of credit facilities, including secured and unsecured, syndicated, and single-lender deals.
Finance Associate Responsibilities:
- Assist in representing commercial lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions, including working capital lines of credit, term loans, real estate-secured loans, and asset-based lending.
- Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, guarantees, amendments, and related loan documentation.
- Coordinate and manage transaction closings, including deal checklists, due diligence, and communication with all parties involved.
- Provide strategic input on deal structuring, risk allocation, and credit facility terms under partner supervision.
- Maintain high-level client communication, responsiveness, and service throughout the deal lifecycle.
Finance Associate Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial finance experience representing both borrowers and lenders.
- Hands-on experience structuring, negotiating, and documenting a variety of credit facilities.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and issue-spotting skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Admission to the Michigan bar is required.
