Grinder Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (related work experience also considered)
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to undergo physical work, including frequent reaching, kneeling, and handling of tools
- Overhead crane experience preferred; training available
Grinder Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Operate grinders, sanders, and related equipment to deburr and finish metal parts to specification
- Receive and follow work instructions and priorities from supervisors
- Inspect and verify quality and quantity of parts produced, ensuring adherence to standards
- Perform minor and routine equipment maintenance; notify supervision for additional needs
- Safely use hand torches and participate in inspection programs as required
- Move and handle materials using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment following safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
