Bar Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of bar management experience in a high-volume venue
- Ability to create new and seasonal cocktails, and experience with "batching"
- Knowledge about whiskey
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and bar costing
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Must Haves:
- Ability to create weekly staff schedules that balance labor targets and team needs
- Comfortable conducting and overseeing regular bar inventory counts
- Proactively manage vendor relationships and liquor orders
- Hands-on support during service—leading from the floor, not behind a desk
- Collaborate with events or marketing teams on drink specials and seasonal menus
- Handle guest issues swiftly to ensure a positive experience
Bar Manager Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience with POS systems and bar management software (e.g., BevSpot, Toast)
- Knowledge of current mixology trends and cocktail innovation
- Prior experience opening managing beverage programs
- Passion for staff training and implementing service standards
- Hospitality or business management education
