Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus
- Minimum of 5+ years of CNC machinist experience
- Experience operating HAAS 3-axis and 5-axis mills and production lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling selection
- Proficiency in part inspection using standard measurement tools
- Strong shop math skills and mechanical aptitude
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance
Must haves:
- Set up and run HAAS CNC mills (3-axis and 5-axis) and production lathes to produce precision components
- Manufacture and modify custom fixtures to support new product development
- Prove out new CNC programs and troubleshoot machining issues during initial runs
- Inspect finished parts against engineering drawings to ensure strict compliance
- Adjust machining processes in real-time based on material behavior and tolerance requirements
- Maintain detailed production records and ensure traceability of work
- Adapt quickly to shifting production priorities and support cross-functional shop needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience with Swiss CNC screw machines
- Background in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support broader production goals
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume production settings
