Our client, a well-established food manufacturing operation, is seeking a Plant Superintendent to lead second-shift production. Requirements & Responsibilities
- Lead all second-shift manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and engagement
- Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations and BRC/SQF standards
- Manage and develop supervisors, crew leads, and production teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives impacting OEE, yield, uptime, and cost
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve production issues
- Enforce safe work practices and conduct regular safety inspections
- Align resources and priorities to meet operational and regulatory goals
- Communicate clearly across shifts and leadership levels
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of food manufacturing experience
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements
- Experience leading teams in a multi-shift operation
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office
- Lean or CI experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
