A high-volume, premium food retailer is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead one of its flagship market locations in the Greenwich area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for full store performance, team development, and maintaining best-in-class standards across all departments.
This role is ideal for someone who has operated within a multi-department food retail environment and understands both the operational and service side of the business.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily store operations including sales, labor, inventory, and overall performance
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong control over costs, shrink, and productivity
- Lead, hire, train, and develop a large, multi-department team
- Maintain high standards across prepared foods, seafood, meat, and grocery departments
- Ensure exceptional product quality, merchandising, and in-store presentation
- Own scheduling, payroll, and day-to-day administrative functions
- Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve store performance
- Deliver a high-touch customer experience and hold the team accountable to service standards
- Act as the primary leader for all store operations, team needs, and customer concerns
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Store Manager experience within grocery, specialty food, or multi-department retail
- Strong background in high-volume, perishables-driven environments
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive performance
- Solid understanding of P&L, labor management, and inventory control
- Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the floor
- Experience with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
