Director of Business Development – Atlanta, GA

Director of Business Development Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive base salary ($145,000–$160,000, target offer $150,000)
- Annual bonus at 20% of base (target $30,000), based on company and individual performance
- Commission accelerator ($50,000 target) for bookings above plan
- Target total compensation ($220,000–$240,000), with strong performance potential exceeding $290,000

Director of Business Development Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of B2B sales or business development in electrical equipment, industrial automation, or related manufacturing
- Experience selling technical products through electrical contractor channels or directly to data center/industrial clients
- Familiarity with UL-listed electrical equipment and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Proven success in building foundational customer relationships
- Demonstrated ability to manage long-cycle B2B sales (6–18 months sales cycles)
- Atlanta-based or willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area
- Willingness to travel 30–50% during pipeline development phase
Director of Business Development Preferred Background & Skills
- Existing relationships with mid-market and large electrical contractors in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina
- Experience selling to or qualifying for hyperscale data center AVLs
- Knowledge of EPC/GC sales in industrial or critical infrastructure construction
- Background in panel shop, switchgear, or PDU manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related technical field
Director of Business Development Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer pipeline across the I-85 corridor to support multi-year growth plans
- Build channel strategy by fostering contractor relationships and establishing partnerships with EPC/GC and hyperscaler clients
- Lead AVL qualification work for hyperscale data center direct sales
- Set pricing strategy and commercial terms in partnership with leadership
- Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team over time
- Provide technical expertise and credibility for a range of electrical products
- Forecast bookings and deliver performance reporting to the Board of Directors
