Controls Engineer – Industrial Automation Requirements & Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years in industrial automation, controls engineering, or electrical engineering
- Strong PLC programming from scratch
- Experience with industrial networking protocols
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics (CAD)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
- Understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Must haves:
- Write PLC programs for custom machinery from concept through production
- Support machine builds and system integration on the manufacturing floor
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues in real time
- Work cross-functionally with production and service teams to resolve issues
- Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Controls Engineer – Industrial Automation Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience with Yaskawa or similar PLC platforms (Omron, Mitsubishi, IDEC)
- Motion control or PLC open experience
- HMI development experience
- OEM or custom machinery manufacturing experience
- Exposure to ERP systems
- Experience with electrical testing
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
