Job Title: Controller
Salary Range: $125,000 – $150,000
Now interviewing for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls. This role reports directly to senior leadership and serves as a strategic partner to operations, membership, and department leaders.
Controller Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management
- Lead month-end and year-end close and prepare financial statements and management reports
- Manage membership billing, dues, and member receivables
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team
- Coordinate external audits and work with outside CPAs and financial partners
Controller Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, AP/AR, and payroll
- Experience in private clubs, hospitality, or membership-based organizations strongly preferred
- Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Controller Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $125,000 – $150,000
