We are a world-renowned, award-winning hotel property in Northern Virginia seeking our next Director of Sales and Marketing who will shape and execute innovative marketing strategies that elevate our boutique hotel’s brand positioning, drive global awareness, and create meaningful connections with luxury travelers worldwide.
Director of Sales & Marketing Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years in sales and marketing leadership, preferably in the hospitality or luxury service industry.
- Proven experience in hospitality sales, preferably within boutique or luxury hotels.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with experience in revenue management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Delphi, or Salesforce).
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the year to represent the property at trade shows, networking events, and local tourism boards to enhance visibility.
Director of Sales & Marketing Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the hotel’s strategic sales and marketing plan.
- Drive revenue growth through corporate, group, and event business development.
- Lead proactive and reactive sales efforts, including key account management.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Collaborate with our special events team and leadership to align sales strategy and optimization.
- Oversee marketing and media initiatives to strengthen brand visibility and demand.
