Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Requirements & Qualifications
- Active New York licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Active Medicare provider enrollment (Medicare ID)
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Comfortable serving Medicaid and Medicare patient populations
Telehealth Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Preferred Background & Skills
- Telehealth and in-office clinical experience
- Strong decision-making and triage skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of rapid, virtual patient visits
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide virtual urgent and primary care visits to patients across New York using a secure telehealth platform
- Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions, including respiratory infections, UTIs, minor rashes, GI issues, and flu or COVID
- Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal telehealth regulations
- Identify cases requiring escalation or in-person referral, ensuring patient safety
- Document each visit accurately within required turnaround times
- Meet established productivity and quality-of-care expectations
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical leadership as needed
