An established restaurant ownership group is preparing to open an exciting new full-service dining concept in Kansas City and is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the opening and build a standout hospitality team from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity to take the lead on a brand-new restaurant, shape the culture, hire your team, and partner directly with ownership to create a destination dining experience in the market.
We are looking for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives on the floor, builds strong teams, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving strong financial performance.
Responsibilities
• Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations and service execution
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
• Establish a strong culture centered around hospitality, accountability, and teamwork
• Manage labor, scheduling, and operational systems
• Oversee financial performance including P&L, labor management, and cost controls
• Partner closely with ownership and culinary leadership to execute a successful opening
• Maintain high service standards and a strong guest-focused environment
Qualifications
• 5+ years of restaurant leadership experience in full-service dining
• Experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a high-volume restaurant
• Proven ability to lead teams and develop strong service cultures
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials and operational systems
• Opening experience or experience with growing concepts is a plus
• A visible, floor-driven leadership style
Compensation
• $75,000 – $85,000 base salary
• Performance-based bonus opportunity
