Business Office Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; preference for Accounting, Finance, or CPA
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Proven problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail
- Previous HR experience is preferred
- Experience managing both front desk and administrative staff
- Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration
Business Office Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts receivable/payable, billing, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and in-depth variance analyses
- Manage payroll processing and ensure up-to-date HR records
- Coordinate benefits renewals and maintain relationships with brokers and providers
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and industry reporting requirements (including DOT regulations)
- Hire, train, and supervise front desk and administrative staff
- Oversee office systems and supplies, including management of Ring Central phone system
