This is a senior-level, hands-on engineering role inside a capital equipment OEM where mechanical design directly impacts how machines are built, wired, tested, and shipped. You’ll step in as a technical authority—owning designs end-to-end and helping bring structure, standards, and scalability to a busy automation environment.

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Benefits and Compensation:

Competitive base salary

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

401(k) with company contribution

Paid time off and paid holidays

Stable, long-tenured engineering and manufacturing team

High-impact role with real ownership over designs—not just concepts

Exposure to full machine lifecycle from concept through build, test, and field support

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

5–10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automated machinery or capital equipment

Strong CAD expertise (Creo/Windchill or comparable PLM-driven CAD systems)

Experience designing machines with complex assemblies, tight tolerances, and moving mechanisms

Background supporting manufacturing, assembly, and service teams with real-world design fixes

Ability to manage multiple engineering projects and priorities simultaneously

Must haves:

Designing automation equipment that must be built, wired, tested, and serviced—not theoretical designs

Driving design-for-manufacturability improvements alongside production teams

Owning and maintaining accurate, structured Bills of Materials inside an ERP environment

Leading root-cause analysis for build or field issues and implementing permanent design corrections

Setting documentation standards that allow designs to scale, repeat, and be supported long-term

Collaborating daily with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and service functions

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Preferred Background & Skills:

Exposure to OEM machine build environments with in-house assembly and test

Hands-on familiarity with sheet metal, machined components, and fabrication processes

Experience creating SOPs or engineering standards

Comfort working with Excel for engineering calculations or design logic

Background in continuous improvement or operational clean-up environments

This role is for someone who enjoys ownership, clarity, and impact—and isn’t afraid to make existing designs better, cleaner, and easier to build.
