We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to support daily kitchen operations and help lead our back-of-house team. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone looking to grow into a Kitchen Manager position as new locations open.
Assistant Kitchen Manager Responsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Manager with daily kitchen operations
- Lead, train, and support kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper presentation
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Assist with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and receiving deliveries
- Help manage opening and closing kitchen procedures
- Step in for the Kitchen Manager as needed
Assistant Kitchen Manager Qualifications
- Prior kitchen experience required; leadership experience for 2+ years
- Strong communication and team-leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe preferred)
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Desire to grow into a Kitchen Manager role with future openings
