Intellectual Property Attorney (Partner) Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in intellectual property law, covering litigation, portfolio management, and transactional matters
- Extensive knowledge of trademark, copyright, and patent laws, including prosecution and enforcement
- Demonstrated success managing complex IP cases and delivering strategic legal counsel
- Outstanding drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to maintain and grow a portable book of business and foster strong client relationships
- Admission to the Florida Bar
- Technical or scientific background is a plus for patent-related work
Intellectual Property Attorney (Partner) Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of intellectual property issues with an emphasis on complex litigation and portfolio management
- Lead and manage trademark, copyright, and patent prosecution, enforcement, and defense matters
- Develop and execute effective consulting and transaction strategies for client IP portfolios
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to drive client satisfaction and positive legal outcomes
- Build and strengthen long-term client partnerships by providing proactive, business-minded counsel
