Pickleball Manager & Coach Requirements & Qualifications
- Resort, private club, or high-end recreational facility background preferred
- Significant experience coaching pickleball, both in private lessons and group settings
- Experience designing, managing, and delivering pickleball programming, leagues, and events
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, and Recognized pickleball teaching certification (PPR, IPTPA, or equivalent) required or ability to obtain before start
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to use or quickly learn technology-based coaching tools and ball-tracking systems
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pickleball Manager & Coach Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience supervising or training other instructors
- Background with luxury guest service standards
- Familiarity with scheduling, budgeting, and performance technology in recreation
Pickleball Manager & Coach Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Launch, oversee, and elevate all operations of a world-class, 21-court pickleball complex
- Serve as the primary on-court teaching professional for private and group instruction across all ages and skill levels
- Develop and manage court schedules, reservations, leagues, tournaments, and special events
- Create and implement programming such as socials, clinics, exhibitions, and in-house competitions
- Utilize advanced performance technology for player development and feedback
- Recruit, train, and supervise additional instructors and attendants as programs grow
- Partner across teams to integrate pickleball into guest, group, and member activities
- Uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, and an inclusive, welcoming environment for all
