Senior Hardware Design Engineer Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and validate electronic systems for high-volume consumer products
• Lead schematic capture and PCB layout using OrCAD and Allegro
• Develop and integrate hardware architectures across multi-component systems
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity
• Conduct system-level testing, validation, and debugging in a lab environment
• Interface directly with clients to gather requirements, lead design reviews, and provide technical direction
• Drive root cause analysis and contribute to continuous design improvements
Senior Hardware Design Engineer Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• 7+ years of experience in electrical or hardware design engineering
• Proven success designing high-volume consumer electronic products
• Proficiency with OrCAD Capture and Allegro PCB Editor
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
• Hands-on experience with validation, testing, and full product lifecycle development
Senior Hardware Design Engineer Compensation:
• Annual salary range of $150K–$180K, based on experience
• Hybrid schedule in SF Bay Area to start
