Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team to maximize total revenue and ensuring sales goals are met and exceeded
- Established client base and cultivate relationships, building business, and provide a stable and positive work environment for the team
- Spend a significant amount of time out of the hotel surveying market and comp set/neighboring hotels, researching new clients/opportunities, and knowing the market and its environment
- Observe local trends in the market
- Conduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
- Supporting and Developing the Sales Managers
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Sales Experience
- Any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experience
- Past Marriott Hotel Sales Manager in the SMERF experience a plus
- 4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meets client needs, and resolve complaints
- Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
- Detail-oriented.
