We are looking for a hands-on leadership role for a polished, dependable culinary professional who thrives in a high-volume, guest-driven restaurant. Executive Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Proven ability to lead, train, and hold a kitchen team accountable
- Strong knowledge of Latin cuisine and execution-focused cooking
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen compliance standards
Executive Sous Chef Must Haves
- Ability to run day-to-day kitchen operations in the Executive Chef’s absence
- Hands-on cooking alongside the team during service, not a clipboard role
- Strong expediting skills to ensure speed, consistency, and plate quality
- Calm, steady leadership style that keeps the kitchen organized and focused
Executive Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in casual to polished-casual dining environments
- Background working with established menus rather than frequent menu changes
- Strong prep systems, pars, and line setup discipline
- Longevity in prior roles showing commitment and reliability
