Controller / Finance Manager – Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Controller or Finance Manager, preferably in multi-unit restaurants or hospitality
- Strong hands-on accounting background including month-end and year-end close
- Extensive experience with COGS, inventory control, and variance analysis
- Experience managing heavy inventory environments ($15M–$20M+ revenue preferred)
- Proficiency with Restaurant365 or similar restaurant accounting systems
- Strong understanding of cash management, AP/AR, and general ledger
- Experience coordinating audits and supporting tax filings
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local compliance requirements
- Ability to manage banking relationships and credit card processors
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
Controller / Finance Manager – Preferred Background & Skills
- Multi-unit restaurant, hotel or hospitality accounting experience strongly preferred
- Ability to partner closely with Operations to manage food cost and inventory accuracy
- Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including budget vs. actual analysis
- Experience establishing internal controls and financial best practices
- Comfort working in a lean organization where leaders wear multiple hats
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial data clearly
- Alignment with company culture, values, and brand standards
