Operations Manager

Operations Manager Benefits & Compensation

Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the transportation industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing leadership talent.
- Minimum 5 years of P&L responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to oversee large teams
- Strong customer communication skills and transportation operations background.
Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Familiarity with systems such as AS400, Omnitracs, TMW, and Geotab.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
Operations Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Monitor driver logs and ensure DOT compliance while enforcing company policies.
- Oversee payroll accuracy and manage hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Dispatch and schedule drivers using Qualcomm/Omnitracs or similar tools.
- Track driver utilization, routes, hours, and equipment while coaching drivers on customer service and safety.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, responding rapidly to inquiries and managing service concerns.
- Validate daily load plans and coordinate maintenance and PM schedules.
