Global IT Director Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MSc) preferred
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience in multinational or publicly traded environments
- 5+ years of SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) expertise supporting Finance and Operations
- Proven ownership of IT SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Strong background in cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise risk management
- Extensive experience with cloud, infrastructure, networks, endpoints, and helpdesk operations
- Demonstrated ability to manage enterprise IT budgets, vendors, and service contracts
- Professional certifications preferred (CISA, CISSP, CPA, or similar)
- English fluency required; Mandarin proficiency preferred
Global IT Director Preferred Background & Skills:
- Strong command of “compliance by design” principles
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Audit, Operations, and Legal
- Executive presence with proven influence at senior leadership levels
- Adaptable, resilient, and effective in fast-paced, global environments
Global IT Director Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead global IT operations, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance
- Own and optimize SAP/S/4HANA environments across manufacturing, distribution, and finance
- Oversee IT SOX controls, audit engagement, and remediation activities
- Design and monitor IT and application controls to safeguard data and infrastructure
- Manage global cloud and on-premise environments, including M365/Azure
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity programs
- Oversee IT budgets, vendor management, and contract negotiations
- Partner with senior leaders to align technology initiatives with business goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global IT organization
- Support global locations with occasional domestic and international travel
