Global Director of Marketing and Communications Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive marketing and communications experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role within a public company
- 2+ years leading global analyst relations, public relations, and social media strategy
- 2+ years of experience within the automotive or battery industry
- Proven success delivering global campaigns in complex, matrixed environments
- Experience with investor, media, and crisis communications in regulated settings
- Strong storytelling abilities with an editorial eye for technical content
- Demonstrated success driving brand visibility and executive communications
- Ability to navigate real-time issues with agility and confidence
- Experience working with global analyst firms, testing bodies, and award programs
- Proficiency with tools such as Meltwater, Sprout Social, Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics, etc.
Preferred Background & Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and narrative development capabilities
- Strong understanding of governance requirements and disclosure best practices
- Experience managing global teams and external agencies across time zones
- Advanced verbal, written, and visual communication skills with executive presence
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a global marketing & communications team, managing regional partners as needed
- Shape and evolve the brand narrative across earned, owned, and shared channels
- Drive global media relations, securing coverage and strengthening market credibility
- Lead analyst relations and third-party validation efforts across key industry bodies
- Oversee global social media strategy focused on authenticity, engagement, and technical authority
- Craft technology-focused messaging that differentiates the organization in the market
- Support executive leadership with media prep, presentations, and internal communication campaigns
- Lead crisis and incident communications to safeguard the brand during critical moments
- Manage global brand partnerships and activate them through creative storytelling
- Ensure messaging governance, accuracy, and compliance with public company standards
