We are seeking an experienced Storm Water Engineer to support storm water design, construction oversight, and environmental compliance for municipal infrastructure. This role contributes to the City’s Storm Water Management Program and ensures adherence to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) requirements, and other regulatory standards.
Storm Water Manager Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- CPESC certification preferred
- Four years of storm water, water, or sewer engineering experience
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations including NPDES and MS4 requirements
- Ability to conduct field inspections and prepare technical reports for regulatory agencies
Storm Water Manager Job Responsibilities
- Support administration of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) compliance programs
- Prepare engineering designs, specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documents
- Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot construction issues, and provide technical recommendations
- Lead plan reviews, redline feedback, and support decisions related to development permitting
- Assist with bid processes, prepare recommendations, and guide contractors and inspectors during construction
