Diesel Mechanic – Columbus, OH
Compensation: $34–$40/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday — local work only (no overnight travel)

Overview
Are you a skilled diesel mechanic who enjoys independence, problem-solving, and making an impact every day?
We’re hiring a Field Service Diesel Mechanic to handle on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for commercial trucks and fleet vehicles across the Columbus, OH area.
You’ll join a team that values technician autonomy, customer service, and safety — while building a stable, long-term career with room for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and powertrains
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systems using advanced diagnostic tools
- Conduct DOT inspections and complete accurate digital service documentation
- Manage daily service routes, maintain a clean parts inventory, and communicate repair needs with dispatch/customers
- Deliver professional, customer-focused on-site service
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician / Diesel Mechanic
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, or International preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- ASE certifications preferred (not required)
- Solid communication and time-management skills
