Private Family Owned Dental Care practice is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our family-oriented dental practice. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic oral healthcare in a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
- Conduct oral health assessments and record detailed patient histories
- Take and develop dental X-rays (as required)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments as needed
- Identify signs of oral diseases and communicate findings to the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Provide a comfortable, positive experience for patients of all ages
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license (state-specific)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required by state law)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and team members
- Prior experience in a family dental practice is a plus
