Associate Attorney – General Liability (Hybrid)

We are partnering with a growing defense litigation firm to identify an Associate Attorney for its General Liability practice in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This is a hybrid role with strong mentorship, hands-on litigation experience, and long-term growth potential.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with approximately 3 years of civil defense experience who wants to deepen their litigation skills in a supportive, well-structured environment.
The Role
Under the guidance of experienced partners, the Associate Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and general liability matters, gaining exposure to all phases of litigation.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and billing a caseload of approximately 25+ matters
- Drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and written discovery
- Attending and defending depositions; taking depositions
- Making court appearances and attending hearings
- Assisting with mediations and trial preparation
- Collaborating directly with clients and internal legal teams
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- 3+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in:
- General Liability
- Insurance Defense
- Labor & Employment
- Property & Casualty
- Experience handling multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while meeting deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard legal technology
- Valid driver’s license
Mediation or trial experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $115,000–$140,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Quarterly bonuses tied to billable hours
