Dispossessory Paralegal
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive dispossessory paralegal to support a landlord–tenant practice. This role is essential in managing the dispossessory process from initial demand through judgment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with court requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, handling a high volume of cases with efficiency and organization.

Dispossessory Paralegal Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience preferred, ideally in landlord–tenant, real estate, civil litigation, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of dispossessory/eviction procedures in Georgia (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic court filing systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Dispossessory Paralegal Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepare and file dispossessory actions, including demand letters, complaints, affidavits, and supporting documents.
- Track deadlines and monitor the status of filings across multiple counties.
- Communicate with clients, courts, sheriffs, and opposing parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinate service of process and maintain accurate documentation.
- Prepare case files for hearings, motions, and other proceedings.
- Draft consent agreements, dismissals, writs of possession, and other routine pleadings.
- Manage incoming client information, update case management systems, and ensure all documents are properly stored.
- Assist attorneys with discovery, research, and preparation of hearing packets as needed.
- Provide regular updates to clients on case progress.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and procedural requirements.
