Executive Chef – Fine Dining
A renowned boutique hospitality property in the heart of Virginia horse country is seeking a hands-on, creative, and seasonally driven Executive Chef to lead its intimate fine-dining establishment. Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications
• Proven success as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a fine-dining or chef-driven environment
• Strong foundation in seasonal, farm-influenced, or hyper-local cuisine
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to mentor, train, and communicate clearly
• Experience overseeing ordering, inventory, food quality, and cost management
• Highly organized with excellent follow-through and attention to detail
• Comfortable updating menus multiple times per year in collaboration with ownership or property leadership
• Culinary degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
• Solid career tenure of two or more years per role
• A working-chef mentality, present on the line and leading by example
• Ability to maintain exceptionally high standards despite lower nightly volume
• Strong guest awareness and the ability to represent the property in a polished, articulate manner
