Purchasing Director
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Director to join a leading organization in the manufacturing sector. This role offers the opportunity to facilitate interactions between cross-functional stakeholders and Procurement, ensuring the development of top-rated suppliers while meeting current business needs and supporting future growth.

Purchasing Director Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Purchasing Director Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in driving productivity and managing multiple work assignments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly AS400.
- Comfortable with talent sourcing and building a robust pipeline.
- Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills. Experience in the Bath and or Kitchen Industry.
Purchasing Director Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Initiate, develop, and implement multi-year direct procurement strategies to integrate and leverage spend.
- Lead category-specific cost management contract negotiations and enforce compliance.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies for assigned categories.
- Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of new products.
- Maintain awareness of economic and business situations affecting pricing and delivery.
- Conduct annual supplier scorecard reviews with quality and purchasing departments.
