Sous Chef – Knoxville, TN
Join a dedicated culinary team at a K-12 school in Knoxville, TN, where you can make a meaningful impact by serving students, faculty, and staff daily. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef who is passionate about cooking and wants to work in a supportive environment without the demands of weekends and holidays.
Sous Chef Benefits & Compensation

Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a professional kitchen.
- Understanding of food preparation and sanitation standards.
- Must clear a criminal background check and drug screen.
Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in schools, country clubs, or hospitals is a plus.
- Certified Kitchen Assistant certification is a plus.
Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure all food prepared meets high-quality standards.
- Maintain inventory levels and order food products as needed.
- Keep the kitchen clean and safe, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Perform daily inventory checks and maintain proper food storage.
- Assist with cleaning prep areas and perform daily cleaning duties in the kitchen.
