Senior Manufacturing Supervisor Responsibilities
- Lead daily ePTFE production activities, including extrusion, stretching, sintering, and skiving operations.
- Support operators in troubleshooting, monitoring, and refining production processes to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Recruit, train, and mentor production staff to build a capable, cohesive, and high-performing team.
- Ensure full compliance with FDA QSR/21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 manufacturing standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all team members follow EHS/OSHA procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and root-cause methodologies to increase yield and reduce downtime.
- Maintain thorough documentation for batch traceability, process control, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production flow and compliance readiness.
Senior Manufacturing Supervisor Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in polymer or fluoropolymer manufacturing; ePTFE/PTFE experience strongly preferred. 5+ years leading plant/line or business unit operations.
- Proven ability to lead small production teams within a technical manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of extrusion, stretching, sintering, and related polymer processes.
- Familiarity with regulated environments (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA QSR).
- Demonstrated success driving performance improvements through data, metrics, and clear process control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptable, team-oriented leader who values precision, consistency, and growth.
