Our client is a manufacturer of customized power equipment and are primed for aggressive expansion. We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager who is looking for a career growth opportunity. We seek candidates with Engineered To Order Switchgear manufacturing experience as well as successful implementations of Lean Manufacturing transformations. This is a hands-on position leading the efforts to implement changes and overhauls of their manufacturing facility.

Operations Manager-Switchgear Manufacturing Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in Engineered to Order manufacturing; experience with electrical distribution products like switchboards, switchgear, circuit breakers highly preferred.
- Familiarity with overseeing production of customized to order production including fabrication, paint, assembly, testing, and safety
- Experience leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives and implementations, and plant turnaround experience.
- High proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Metric driven to analyze and improve costs, service and quality metrics
Operations Manager-Switchgear Manufacturing Responsibilities:
- Oversee plant operations across fabrication, assembly and testing to ensure all quality, productivity, safety, and delivery targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Owns the shipping, receiving, warehouse and production schedule
- Identify, design, and implement lean manufacturing processes, testing methodologies, and supporting tools
- Implement and produce quality metrics and reporting to all levels of management
- Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, technicians and operators
- Partner with Quality Assurance to reduce defects and enhance product reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment usage, minimize downtime and drive modernization efforts
- Oversee and ensure operations comply with OSHA, NFPA and company safety policies
