General Manager – Cafe Concept Requirements & Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, restaurants, cafés, food retail, or similar environments
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop a successful team
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, cost control, labor management, sales analysis, and profitability improvement
- Working knowledge of food safety regulations, inventory management, and POS systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on, visible leadership style with a passion for engaging both team members and guests
- Ability to balance strategic business objectives with the operational details of daily execution
General Manager – Cafe Concept Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to hospitality and service excellence
- Oversee daily operations including scheduling, facility standards, cleanliness, maintenance, and inventory control
- Create and uphold a positive, accountable culture focused on teamwork and guest satisfaction
- Monitor and analyze sales and financial metrics, managing labor, cost, and inventory budgets
- Partner with culinary and marketing teams to launch seasonal promotions and in-store initiatives
- Maintain rigorous food, beverage, service, and presentation standards
- Oversee all cash handling, POS functions, invoice reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Collaborate with company leadership on annual budgets, sales targets, and operational improvements
