Executive Chef – Exciting New Opening | Portland, Oregon
We’re seeking a talented and driven Executive Chef to lead the culinary team for an exciting new multi-level restaurant, bar and event space. This is a rare opportunity to help shape and launch a high-profile dining concept from the ground up, bringing creativity, leadership, and passion to every aspect of the kitchen.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upscale, high-volume restaurant operations, with experience overseeing multiple outlets or event-driven venues. You’ll collaborate closely with ownership and the food & beverage leadership team to develop a menu that reflects innovation, seasonality, and exceptional quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all culinary operations, including menu development, execution, and presentation
- Build, train, and inspire a talented kitchen team focused on consistency and excellence
- Maintain high standards for food quality, safety, and sanitation
- Oversee kitchen budgeting, food costs, and inventory management
- Partner with front-of-house and event teams to deliver seamless guest experiences
- Contribute to the creative direction and identity of this new concept
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in upscale or multi-outlet restaurants
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Track record of success managing high-volume service and events
- Creative culinary vision with a commitment to quality and innovation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, opening environment
