Personal Injury Litigation Attorney
A prominent, national plaintiff-side law firm with offices throughout the Central and Southeastern U.S. is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its growing Chicago, IL team. The firm has recovered over $1 billion for clients across the country and is recognized among the nation’s leading mid-market trial practices.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll take ownership of your cases from intake through resolution, ensuring clients receive both exceptional care and outstanding results. You’ll meet directly with clients, develop case strategy, handle settlement negotiations, and prepare matters for trial as needed. Compassion, attention to detail, and courtroom confidence are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of personal injury litigation from case inception through trial.
- Meet with clients to discuss their cases, build trust, and provide regular updates.
- Evaluate claims, prepare demands, and negotiate with insurance carriers.
- Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in court and at trial when necessary.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 3–5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
- Active member of the IL Bar, in good standing.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
