Payroll & Benefits Specialist Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience, preferably in food & beverage, hospitality, or multi-location environments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing leave of absence, accommodations, and workers’ compensation programs strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing and HRIS/payroll systems.
Payroll & Benefits Specialist Preferred Background & Skills
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in organization, prioritization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Payroll & Benefits Specialist Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried Team Members across 18 venues and the corporate office.
- Verify and reconcile timekeeping and tip data to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Administer group health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.
- Coordinate open enrollment, new hire enrollments, and life event changes.
- Manage leaves of absence, including FMLA, personal, and other leaves.
- Serve as the main point of contact for workplace injury reporting and claims, including filing and managing workers’ compensation claims with insurance carriers.
