.Civil Project Manager (PE) – Land Development / Site Design
Full-Time | Leadership Role | Civil Engineering Focus
Join a respected civil engineering and land development firm as a Civil Project Manager (PE). You’ll lead design teams, oversee project delivery, and ensure that plans meet technical, regulatory, and client standards. This role requires the ability to certify and stamp plans and offers an opportunity to manage impactful projects across the Richmond region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor project engineers and civil designers through all project phases.
- Prepare, review, and certify/stamp engineering plans, reports, and calculations in compliance with Virginia DPOR requirements.
- Write, edit, and approve project proposals, cost estimates, and design documents.
- Manage design and construction contracts, including subcontractors and consultants.
- Perform and review engineering analyses for site grading, stormwater management, utilities, traffic, and hydrology.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of deliverables.
- Estimate quantities, materials, and labor to determine feasibility and manage budgets.
- Serve as primary client contact for project requirements, coordination, and delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of professional experience in civil site design, land development, or municipal infrastructure.
- Active Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Demonstrated ability to certify and stamp plans.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
