Senior Event Manager at Full-Service Hotel & Conference Property
Location: Baltimore, MD
Compensation: $75,000–$80,000 annually (based on experience + Bonus)
Employment Type: Full-time | On-site
A prominent full-service hotel and convention property is seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to join its high-performing Catering & Events team. This role manages large-scale meetings, conferences, and social programs, from pre-event planning through post-event follow-up, delivering flawless experiences and maximizing revenue opportunities.
About the Property:
This major meetings hotel features over 700 guest rooms and more than 100,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space, hosting a diverse range of corporate, association, and social events.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the client’s primary contact from turnover through execution.
- Coordinate all event details, documentation, and interdepartmental communication.
- Lead pre-conference meetings, walkthroughs, and post-event debriefs.
- Identify upselling opportunities and deliver creative enhancements.
- Support the Director of Catering & Events as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of hotel event management experience, or 1+ year as Senior Event Manager in a mid- to large-scale full-service property.
- Strong organizational, communication, and client service skills.
- Experience managing complex, multi-day programs.
- Familiarity with event systems (Delphi, CI/TY, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree or CMP certification preferred.
Schedule
- Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility for early mornings or evenings, as needed for events.
