As a Funeral Director in Charge (location manager), you will play a vital role in overseeing daily operational activities, ensuring the highest quality of service for client families, and fostering a positive work environment.

Funeral Director in Charge Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in funeral services.
- Valid Funeral Directors’ License in Ohio and/or Michigan, or ability to obtain reciprocity.
- Completion of a two-year college degree or specialized course of study.
- Passing both sections of the National Board Exam (NBE) as per state requirements.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with management and staff.
Funeral Director in Charge Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in administrative and operational management within the funeral industry.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and ethical standards in funeral services.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of licensed professionals.
Funeral Director in Charge Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Demonstrate core values of excellence, trust, care, and growth in all aspects of the role.
- Maintain a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration.
- Supervise staff scheduling to ensure adequate personnel for client arrangements and services.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching for team members.
- Oversee the quality of products and services, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Engage in community outreach and marketing activities to promote the funeral home.
