CNC Machinist – 3rd Shift

CNC Machinist Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment (mills, lathes, or both).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
CNC Machinist Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills or lathes) to produce precision parts according to work orders and engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements to understand critical dimensions and tolerances.
- Install tools, set work offsets, and verify setup prior to running production jobs.
- Monitor machine operation and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of production and inspection results and perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
