An established engineering firm is seeking a strategic leader to serve as Vice President of Structural Engineering. The successful candidate will direct technical and operational aspects of the structural engineering discipline — from design and analysis through construction deliverables and observation — while also driving business growth, team leadership and client-facing initiatives.

Vice President of Structural Engineering Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 12–15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering
- Familiarity and proficiency in using Autodesk Revit for structural design/drafting
- Strong technical knowledge of structural design, analysis, code interpretation, structural construction documents and construction observation
- Demonstrated experience in project management and business development within structural or multi‑discipline engineering environments
- Excellent leadership, client‑facing, and strategic thinking skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
Vice President of Structural Engineering Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all technical activities of the structural engineering department, ensuring accuracy, quality and compliance from project conception through completion
- Manage project budgets, monitor profitability, and serve as the primary client contact and project manager on select assignments
- Drive business development efforts: pricing, scoping, estimating, marketing strategies, and fostering new client relationships
- Supervise and mentor engineering staff, review and approve project deliverables (reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, designs)
- Utilize structural engineering and design software/tools to prepare or direct preparation of engineering documents
- Attend client meetings, represent the firm in public or professional settings, forecast department workload and coordinate staffing
