We’re representing a retained client, a privately held group that operates across real estate, investment, and luxury hospitality.
They’re looking for a Legal & Compliance Manager who brings strong restaurant or hospitality experience and can oversee compliance across both a high-end hospitality brand and its corporate investment arm.

What You’ll Do
- Manage corporate filings, board minutes, and resolutions
- Review and draft contracts and agreements (vendors, leases, employment, partnerships)
- Handle restaurant compliance — DOH, liquor licensing (SLA), insurance, and permits
- Partner with leadership and outside counsel on legal strategy and risk management
- Build and maintain standard templates and compliance systems across entities
- Advise on legal and regulatory updates that impact operations
Legal & Compliance Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in legal or compliance within the restaurant or hospitality industry (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or Legal Studies; JD preferred
- Strong understanding of contract law, employment law, and NYC regulations
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Able to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion
Bonus Points For
- Experience in real estate, property management, or investment firms
- Paralegal or compliance certification
- Working in multi-entity or growth-stage environments
- A proactive, business-minded approach — not just a rule follower, but a problem solver
