Lead Water Resources Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to oversee the design and execution of stream and wetland restoration projects, collaborating with clients, regulatory agencies, and a multidisciplinary team committed to ecological restoration and natural resource preservation.
Lead Water Resources Engineer Benefits & Compensation

Lead Water Resources Engineer Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; graduate degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in river, stream, wetland, or floodplain restoration; familiarity with Rosgen’s Natural Channel Design preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, or Tennessee.
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (Hec-RAS) and AutoCAD, with a proven record of managing large-scale environmental projects.
- Experience with stamping mitigation projects required.
Lead Water Resources Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents for restoration projects.
- Gather geomorphic, ecological, and hydrologic field data to support project designs.
- Perform hydraulic modeling to aid in permitting and compliance processes.
- Manage construction inspections and ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
