General Manager – Bakery & Café
A new, independently owned bakery and café is seeking a dedicated and hands-on General Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a team. This position is ideal for someone with strong bakery knowledge and a genuine passion for desserts, coffee, and creating a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere.

General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in a bakery, café, or restaurant environment
- Solid understanding of bakery operations including production flow, display, and freshness standards
- Proven ability to supervise and motivate a staff of approximately 20 team members
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Must Haves
- Hands-on leader who thrives working alongside the team in both front and back of house
- Experience managing dessert and coffee sales with attention to product presentation and guest satisfaction
- Skilled in inventory management, scheduling, and labor cost control
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and hospitality
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous experience in a bakery café or similar small, community-driven concept
- Familiarity with espresso-based beverages and bakery merchandising techniques
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build neighborhood loyalty
- Passion for artisan desserts, scratch baking, and fostering a positive workplace culture
