Position Overview
Our luxury hotel client in San Antonio is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Food & Beverage to oversee all F&B operations. This leader will drive revenue, elevate guest experiences, and ensure operational excellence across restaurants, bars, banquets, and in-room dining. The ideal candidate is a visionary with a strong background in hospitality, luxury-boutique-lifestyle full service hotels, team development, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead all F&B outlets, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue and control costs (food, beverage, labor).
- Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu planning, pricing, and innovation.
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to maintain quality and profitability.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing F&B team.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment with clear goals and coaching.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs for team development.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Coordinate effectively with banquet, catering, restaurant, and operations teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in F&B management, preferably in upscale hotel environments.
- Strong background in both restaurant and banquet operations.
- Proven success in launching new F&B concepts and driving guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in using data and technology to inform decisions.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Required certifications: Food Handler and TABC; CPR preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field.
