Payroll Specialist – Hospitality / Private Club – Bonita Springs
About the Opportunity
Join one of Southwest Florida’s most respected private clubs: a beautiful, member-focused environment known for professionalism, culture, long tenured team, and genuine hospitality. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a collaborative finance and HR team supporting a large, high-volume operation. The role functions as the Payroll Coordinator for the club’s 600+ employees during peak season, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
Payroll Specialist – Benefits and Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $30–$36/hour
- Status: Full-Time, On-Site
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (summer schedule: 4-day weeks with flexibility for additional hours)
- Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, and standard club benefits
Payroll Specialist – Requirements & Must Haves
- 5+ years of on-site payroll processing experience (ADP preferred)
- Experience supporting 400+ employees; hospitality or multi-unit industry experience a plus
- Strong grasp of accounting processes, payroll best practices, and Excel reporting
- Proven record of accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality in managing sensitive employee data
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and comfortable communicating with multiple departments
- Understanding of tips, commissions, and gratuities in payroll processing
Payroll Specialist – Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
- Manage new hire onboarding, terminations, and employee updates in ADP
- Oversee timekeeping accuracy and train department managers as needed
- Process and reconcile lesson income, tips, and commission pay
- Prepare and reconcile insurance billings and related documentation
- Provide administrative and accounting support as needed, including deposits and vendor payments
Payroll Specialist – Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous experience in private clubs, resorts, or hospitality organizations
- High attention to detail and follow-through
- Professional communication and integrity in handling confidential matters
- Organized, proactive, and deadline-driven
- Team-oriented with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
