We are looking for a forward-thinking Executive Medical Director to lead the launch and growth of our Emergency Care hospital in the Southern California area. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, entrepreneurial veterinarian who is passionate about shaping medical culture, building strong teams, and driving clinical excellence.
**This position will require relocation to Southern California
What You’ll Do
- Lead medical strategy and set the standard of care across our hospitals
- Develop and implement hospital-specific SOPs to ensure consistency and quality
- Partner with leadership to manage budgets and achieve growth targets
- Build and mentor high-performing DVM teams with a focus on development and resilience
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and client-centered care
- Engage with clients and staff to create a warm, welcoming, and professional environment
- Participate in leadership training and Executive Medical Director forums
What We’re Looking For
- DVM with a valid California license or the ability to obtain a CA license
- 7+ years of veterinary practice experience required
- 3+ years of Surgical experience required
- Proven success in mentoring and developing veterinarians
- Comfort and expertise in managing emergency care cases
- 2+ years of P&L responsibility preferred
