Position: Swiss Lathe Set-Up Machinist
Benefits & Compensation
- Pay: $24–$32 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Day Shift, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Workweek: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, including strong Swiss lathe set-up skills – alternatively CNC lathe twin turret and twin spindle machines
- Proven ability to set up, prove out, edit, and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes or twin turret and twin spindle lathes
- Skilled in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T specifications
- Strong understanding of cutting tool applications and adjustments for optimal machining performance
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete set-ups and changeovers on Swiss CNC lathes
- Edit and troubleshoot G-code programs as needed
- Verify part dimensions using inspection tools, CMM, and optical measurement systems
- Accurately record production data, part counts, and scrap in the ERP system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Conduct basic machine maintenance and monitor tooling conditions
Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience machining complex lathe / Swiss lathe components
- Familiar with JobBOSS or similar ERP systems
- Background in medical device or aerospace machining
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset
- Able to mentor junior machinists and share technical expertise.
